What methods do you guys use to animate?

RESPECT.

Talk about inspiration…an broken wrists

…and before the 14,500 drawings, there’s writing and storyboarding and layout. And after the drawings, there’s coloring and compositing. And there’s backgrounds and music and sound design and so many different aspects and details that need to be planned and created and revised and checked and double-checked and so on. Creating finished animation is a GRUELING BUTTLOAD OF WORK. Thousands of drawings is ridiculous enough, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg.

So it always kind of exasperates me when people misunderstand the process, when they think each new episode is getting created week-by-week, that things can be changed at the drop of a hat. They can’t. Absolutely everything has to be planned way, way in advance. Like, as much as I love my precious baby Tahno, they can’t just bring him back just because more people ended up liking him than they ever expected/intended. Either he was planned to come back from the beginning or he wasn’t. (Still crossing my fingers, though.)

haha this is awesome
